Beyond the Waterfront
In addition to the marinas and marine-trades facilities in Port Townsend and Quilcene, other Port properties provide educational opportunities that contribute to the region’s economy.
The Aero Museum at the Jefferson County International Airport is an extraordinary example. The Museum not only restores, displays, and flies its collection of vintage aircraft; it’s primary mission is to provide young people with job-skills training in the field of aviation. The Aero Museum offers a rigorous Private Pilot License flight-training program to capable, committed students.
